Well the luck gods are certainly not on our side at the moment here at Your Creative Wings headquarters. But we soldiering on. Unfortunately the website is still down.
We like to thank those who are putting up with the inconvenience of the website being down and still taking the time to email an order through. Thank you.
We're sorry to tease you with glimpses of the new Christmas range but our Creative Team has been hard at work making some gorgeous pages etc to inspire you.

Here's what Anne-Marie has been up too.

Christmas 2009

I absolutely adore the Midnight Core Kit Edition from Becky Higgins Project Life and have used it for my entire 2014 album. I purchase these digital files from the same designer, Liz Tamanaha of Paislee Press,to create a page for our first Christmas as a family of seven in 2009. They printed out really well on 200gsm card on my trusty, old Canon Pixma printer.

Your Creative Wings products used; Mo Christmas Tree YCW20062, Geo Pointers Xmas YCW20064, Reindeer and Lights Sm YCW20074, Hanging Mason Jars and Lights Xmas Left YCW20023, Word - Joy 3.5cm YCW20072, Christmas Badges 1 YCW20028, Christmas Discs Sm YCW20063. Numerals - Typewriter Sm YCW5005.

The Christmas themed designs from Your Creative Wings are the perfect finishing touches to help tell the story. They really are the perfect addition to your pocket page style layouts. Occasionally I do still like to emboss or paint or ink them... but left raw is still my very favourite finish. It is all in keeping with my keep it simple, tell the story philosophy.  I used the Hanging jars and Lights on my title card because they fit perfectly. The moustache Christmas tree is the cutest thing I ever saw,,, except for maybe the reindeer with the Christmas lights caught in his antlers. He is just too adorable for words.

Happiness is a haircut.

I had a play with some mess to create this next layout.  Layering, ink, paint, beads, sequins, metal charms, buttons, gems and lots of  Your Creative Wings chipboard designs to tell the story of my little tomboy who wanted her hair chopped. Despite my reservations we made the appointment and she was excited. Happiness is a haircut.

Your Creative Wings products used; Chevrons Mini YCW4005, Happiness Words YCW1051, Corner Scroll YCW7011, Sprig Set 2 YCW2028.
Other products used: TBA

I chose an older patterned paper from the Simple Stories Fabulous range because I loved the colour and it just seemed to fit with the colouring in this photo.  I love the YCW scroll corners and those chevron arrows are one of my favourite designs. The leaves were an afterthought added after the flowers. The script style word was the perfect sentiment... there are plenty more words to choose from.

Thanks for inspiring us Anne-Marie

Hi everyone, Jen here with my November project for Your Creative Wings.

I have been looking for a special frame set for ages to use with these 2 photos and I was over the moon when I received these in my CT pack. Aren't they just gorgeous? I like to keep my chipboard simple, I tend to either paint and ink or heat emboss. In this case I have used Stampendous Frantage embossing enamel in Aged Rose. I love the multi faceted effect that you get.

Your Creative Wings products used: Wreath - Leafy Set YCW2021, Key to my Herat Charms YCW12013 , Word - Memories - Script YCW1055
Other products used: Stampendous Frantage embossing enamel, Others - TBA

I absolutely love the Key to my Heart charms from Your Creative Wings. The give such an fantastic effect on my layout. Again I have heat embossed the main part of the charm and using the middle love heart as a template have glued pieces of my paper on top.

Until next time, Jen x

P.S Have you seen the Christmas chipboard from Your Creative Wings? I can't wait to share my December projects with you all.

Hello to our Your Creative Wings friends.  It’s Sue here with you today, sharing two layouts featuring some of the wonderful chipboard designs.  I have used the gorgeous new Open Book collection from Maggie Homes for both layouts.

The first layout uses the lovely large leafy wreath. I heat embossed the design using Brown Sugar embossing powder.  Originally I embossed it using gold powder but I decided it didn’t work well on the layout.  That’s one of the wonderful things about chipboard.  You can just change things if they aren’t right.  I simply re-inked the design with Versamark ink, added the brown sugar powder on top, and heat set it.  I have used the wreath to frame my photos.  To further embellish the wreath, I coloured three tiny chipboard butterflies with Blush colour shine and then added a drop of gold stickles to the centre.  I gently bent the butterfly wings up and adhered them to the wreath with glossy accents.  I adore the new chipboard words and chose the word ‘happiness’.  Isn’t the script lovely?  I heat embossed it using white embossing powder.  The photos feature my daughter Lily, picking some of the lovely paper daisies that grow along the headlands of the beaches in Northern NSW.

Happiness

The second layout features the beautiful flourish designs.  The set comes with three different sized flourishes, which are the perfect embellishments for a floral layout.  I simply treated the flourishes with a few coats of antique linen distress paint.  I love to use my heat gun to dry the paint between coats.  It certainly speeds up the process for this impatient scrapper! How cute are the little words with arrows?  The ‘sweet’ design fit well with my photos of Lily feeding one of the wild bunnies on our recent holiday. I heat embossed the word using gold powder.  I love how the little heart comes out of the arrow. I removed the heart and glued a little piece of pink patterned paper behind the chipboard to add a pop of colour.

Sweet
